Elgin “Thrift 430” men’s Art Deco design wristwatch in chromium nickel, circa 1931.
The “Thrift 430” has Art Deco geometric engravings on the bezel. This example is in crisp, near mint condition showing no wear, and all of its original frosted finish on the bezel. Caseback is excellent and unengraved, with only a few faint scratches. The case measures 36mm long and 29mm wide. Original dial is superb, has gold embossed numerals. Glass crystal is superb. Watch is powered by its correct 7-jewel Elgin grade 485 movement, just serviced and running well.
