Scarce Gruen “Quadron Model 128” men’s Streamline Moderne design men’s wristwatch in 14K yellow gold fill, circa 1934.
This “Quadron” model has the same Wadsworth-produced case as the Hamilton “Stanley” from the same time. This is the first example I have seen of this model. It is in excellent condition with just a little brassing to the lugs. Caseback is excellent and unengraved, with a few tiny specks of wear and one small ding. The case measures 38mm long and 24mm wide. Dial is fair, with some patina from age. Has new glass crystal. This watch is powered by its correct 17-jewel Gruen grade 117 Quadron manual wind movement, just serviced and running well.
