Uncommon Elgin “Home Run 677” men’s Art Deco design wristwatch in 14K white gold fill, circa 1931.
The “Home Run 677” has an eight-sided case and a dial with gold embossed numerals. It was priced to consumers at $37.50 in 1931. It is somewhat uncommon and this is one of the few I’ve offered. This example is in excellent condition with only a light touch of brassing to the bezel corners and few marks to the underside of the casebody. Caseback is excellent and unengraved. The case measures 37mm long and 29mm wide. Original dial is superb. Has new glass crystal. The watch is powered by its correct 15-jewel Elgin grade 428 manual wind movement, just serviced and running well.
