Elgin “Model E-3” men’s Art Deco design wristwatch in 14K green gold fill, circa 1928.
The “Model E-2” has a barrel-shaped case with stylized Art Deco engravings on the bezel and sides, as well as semi-hooded lugs. It was priced at $47.50 in 1928. This example is in excellent condition with only a few small spots of brassing to the bezel corners. Caseback is excellent and unengraved. The case measures 35mm long and 28mm wide. Original black numeral railroad style dial is very good. Has new glass crystal. Crown is yellow gold filled. The watch is powered by its correct 15-jewel Elgin grade 428 manual wind movement, just serviced and running well.
