Scarce Hamilton “Whitney” men’s Streamline Moderne design wristwatch in 14K white gold fill, circa 1932.
Low production of only 4,136 watches. The “Whitney” has a very striking flared and stepped case... its dramatic design and low production make it among the most desirable of the early 1930s Hamilton models. It was priced to consumers at $55.00 in 1932. This is the nicest “Whitney” I have ever offered and it is in crisp, near mint condition with no brassing. Caseback is superb, with a monogram. The case measures 36mm long and 30mm wide. Refinished luminous dial is superb. Has new glass crystal. This watch is powered by its correct 17-jewel Hamilton grade 987-F manual wind movement, just serviced and running well.
