Elgin “Model 518” men’s Art Deco design dress pocket watch in 14K white gold fill with black enamel bezel, circa 1929.

One of the most striking Art Deco pocket watch designs, this Elgin has a triple-stepped bezel and hinged caseback, with elegant Roman numerals set in black enamel on the bezel. It was priced to consumers at $47.50 in 1929. This example is in crisp, excellent condition showing no brassing, just some wear to the bow. Black enamel is complete and perfect with no chips or scratches. Caseback is superb and unengraved. Case measures 46mm in diameter. Original dial is excellent and lightly aged. Blued steel hands show a touch of corrsion. Glass crystal is excellent. This watch is powered by its correct 17-jewel Elgin grade 479 adjusted manual wind movement, just serviced and running well.
