Lord Elgin “Clubman” men’s Retro Modern design wristwatch in 14K yellow gold fill, circa 1953.
The “Clubman” has black inlay around the bezel and a waffle-textured dial. It was priced at $79.50 in 1953. It is very scarce with a black dial and this is one of the few I have seen. It is in excellent condition with only a light touch of brassing to the bezel edges. Black inlay is excellent, with just a few light marks. Caseback is excellent and unengraved. The case measures 39mm long and 30mm wide. Black dial is very good. Acrylic crystal is excellent. The watch is powered by its correct 21-jewel Elgin grade 680 movement. Comes with vintage yellow gold filled mesh band, leather band available on request.
