Scarce Waltham “Tank” men’s wristwatch in solid 14K white gold, circa 1928.
This model has a very high-quality, heavy tank-shaped curved case in solid white gold made by the boutique case making firm of Katz & Ogush of New York. It was priced at $100.00 in 1928. It is a very scarce model and this is only the second I have seen. It is in crisp, near mint condition showing almost no wear. Hinged caseback is superb, with an extreme Art Deco style monogram. Case measures 36mm long and 22mm wide. Original dial is very good. Has new glass crystal. The watch is powered by its correct 15-jewel Waltham 7-¼ size rectangular movement.
