Elgin “Thrift 422” men’s Streamline Moderne design wristwatch in chromium nickel, circa 1930.
The “Thrift 422” was priced at $19.00 in 1930. It is in excellent condition showing only light wear and a few light marks. Caseback is excellent and unengraved, with only a few light scratches. The case measures 34mm long and 30mm wide. Original new old stock dial is superb, has gold embossed numerals. Has new glass crystal. Watch is powered by its correct 7-jewel Elgin grade 485 movement.
