Rare Lord Elgin “Uncataloged” men’s Retro Modern design wristwatch in solid 14K rose gold, circa 1943.
This model does not appear in any Elgin catalogs or advertisements, and is the only example I have seen. It is unusual in that it is housed in case made by the Swiss case maker Weber of Geneva. A handful of other Weber-cased Elgins from the World War II period are known in rose gold and steel. This example is in excellent condition showing only light wear. Caseback is excellent and unengraved. The case measures 34mm long and 24mm wide. Original two-tone dial is excellent. Has new glass crystal. Watch is powered by its correct 21-jewel Elgin grade 556 movement.
