Hamilton “Winthrop” men’s Art Deco design wristwatch in 14K yellow gold fill, circa 1940.
The “Winthrop” has a long curved case and beautiful ribbed lugs. It was priced at $52.50 in 1940. This example is in crisp, excellent condition with no brassing, just a little wear under the lugs and along one edge where the bezel meets the caseback near the crown. The caseback is excellent and unengraved. The case measures 42mm long and 21mm wide. Refinished gilt finish dial is superb. Has new glass crystal. This watch is powered by its correct 17-jewel Hamilton grade 980 movement.
