Rare Waltham “Red Cross Doctor’s Watch” men’s Modern design wristwatch in nickel, circa 1916.
Waltham advertised this watch around 1916 as a suitable watch for nurses and doctors, with a large easy-to-read sub seconds chapter with red numerals and a red cross above the Waltham name. It is quite rare, and this is the only one I’ve ever seen. It is excellent condition with the case showing only light wear. Caseback is excellent and unengraved. Case measures 37mm long and 31mm wide. Original porcelain dial is good, with some hairline cracks. Has new glass crystal. The watch is powered by its correct 7-jewel Waltham 3/0-size movement.
