Very scarce Hamilton “Dorsey” men’s Streamline Moderne design wristwatch in solid 14K yellow gold, circa 1936.
Offered only from 1936 to 1938, the “Dorsey” is a scarce watch and very rare with the two-tone enamel inlaid dial. This is only the third I have ever offered with this dial. It was priced at $75.00 in 1936. This example is in excellent condition showing only light wear. Caseback is excellent and unengraved. The case measures 36mm long and 23mm wide. Refinished two-tone dial is excellent, has black enamel inlaid numerals and tracks. Glass crystal is excellent. This watch is powered by its correct 19-jewel Hamilton grade 982 movement.
