Scarce Elgin “Home Run 667” men’s Art Deco design wristwatch in 14K white gold fill, circa 1931.
This striking Elgin has a subtly stepped bezel with interesting Art Deco floral and geometric designs engraved on the bezel and case sides, as well as a brilliant silver numerals and sub-seconds track. It was priced to consumers at $37.50 in 1931. This example is in crisp, excellent condition with only a tiny speck or two of brassing to the bezel corners. Engraved designs are bold and crisp. Caseback is superb and unengraved. The case measures 35mm long and 27mm wide. Refinished dial is superb. Has new glass crystal. The watch is powered by its correct 15-jewel Elgin grade 428 movement.
