Illinois “Viking” men’s Art Deco design wristwatch in 14K white gold fill, circa 1929.
The “Viking” is a fairly large watch with a deeply sculpted bezel and was priced to consumers at $42.50 in 1929. This example is one of the nicest I’ve ever seen and is in crisp, excellent condition showing only a tiny amount of brassing to the bezel. The caseback is excellent and unengraved. The case measures 38mm long and 31mm wide. Original dial is very good. Has new glass crystal. This watch is powered by its correct 17-jewel Illinois grade 307 movement.
