Uncommon Elgin “Model E-4” men’s Art Deco design wristwatch in 14K green gold fill, circa 1928.
The “Model E-4” has a small round case with alternating panels of Art Deco engraved designs and lugs with fantastic wing-like engravings that flare toward the bezel. Priced at $40.00 in 1928, it is quite uncommon in green. This example is in excellent condition, showing only a little brassing to the edges of the lugs. Caseback is excellent and unengraved. The case measures 34mm long and 28mm wide. Refinished luminous dial is superb. Has new glass crystal. The watch is powered by its correct 7-jewel Elgin grade 430 movement.
