Elgin “Model E-2 Engraved” men’s Art Deco design wristwatch in 14K white gold fill, circa 1928.
The “Model E-2 Engraved” has a rectangular, cut-corner case with stylized Art Deco engravings on the bezel and the sides of the case, as well as semi-hooded lugs. It was priced at $35.00 in 1928. This example is in crisp, near mint condition with no brassing and all of its original black inlay. Caseback is superb and unengraved, with a monogram and all of its factory-applied brushed finish. The case measures 35mm long and 28mm wide. Original dial is superb. Glass crystal is excellent. The watch is powered by its correct 7-jewel Elgin grade 430 movement.
