Elgin “Avigo 426” men’s Art Deco design wristwatch in chromium nickel, circa 1931.
The “Avigo” has an Air Corps specification dial with large numerals and the winged Avigo logo. It was priced at $22.50 in 1931. This example is in excellent condition showing only minor wear to the chromium plating. Caseback is excellent and unengraved, with some minor marks. The case measures 35mm long and 29mm wide. Original dial is superb, has new luminous. Has new glass crystal. This watch is powered by its correct 7-jewel Elgin grade 485 movement.
