Hamilton “Square Engraved” men’s Art Deco design wristwatch in 14K green gold fill, circa 1928.
Hamilton produced 4,167 examples of the “Square Engraved” in green gold fill, priced at $57.00. Usually supplied with a luminous dial, the watch was also available with this striking optional Dial No. 10, which has a two-tone finish with pinstripe center and solid 18K gold numerals, produced for Hamilton by Fluckiger. This premium dial was an extra charge of $8.00. This example is in excellent condition showing only tiny areas of brassing to the edges of the lugs and bezel corners. Caseback is excellent and unengraved. The case measures 35mm long and 29mm wide. Refinished two-tone, enamel-inlaid Fluckiger-produced dial is superb. Has new glass crystal. Watch is powered its correct 17-jewel Hamilton grade 987 movement.
