Elgin “Lanvin Parisienne” ladies’ Art Deco design wristwatch in 14K white gold fill with black enamel, circa 1928.
In the 1920s, no other watch manufacturer could match Elgin’s Art Deco designs for ladies’ wristwatches. Elgin retained top designers of international prominence to create some fantastic designs. This “Lanvin Parisienne” has triangular bowtie designs in black enamel and stylized Art Deco designs along the case edges. This example is in excellent condition with no brassing. Enamel is perfect and complete. Caseback is excellent and unengraved. The case measures 30mm long and 17mm wide. Refinished dial is superb. Has new glass crystal. This watch is powered by its correct 7-jewel Elgin grade 488 movement. Has new black grosgrain ribbon with vintage white gold filled clasp.
