Just serviced and running strong... This is the nicest “Ventura” I have ever offered. The “Ventura” is perhaps Hamilton’s most iconic watch. Introduced in January of 1957 with a futuristic case design to complement the technologically advanced electric movement, it was priced to consumers at $200.00 and was worn by notables such as Elvis Presley and Rod Serling. This example is in excellent to near mint condition showing almost no wear. The case edges and stepped lugs are still crisp and sharp. Caseback is superb, with a presentation to Robert W. Gordon on completion of his service as mayor of Miramar, Florida in January of 1959. Gordon gave the city its name and was its first mayor, serving from 1955 to 1959. The ”Ventura” is a very large watch, measuring 50mm long and 32mm wide. Original factory-finish black dial is superb. Has new acrylic crystal. The watch is powered by its correct 11-jewel Hamilton grade 500 electric movement, just serviced by me and running strong.
