Gruen “Veri-Thin Imperial” men’s Retro Modern design wristwatch in 10K white gold fill, circa 1951.
This Gruen has a stepped case with 3 diamonds at 3, 6, and 9 o’clock and was endorsed by famed orchestra leader Guy Lombardo in Gruen advertising. It was an expensive watch for the time, priced at $135.00 in 1951. It is in crisp, excellent condition with no brassing. Caseback is excellent with a presentation engraving. Case measures 37mm long and 24mm wide. Original black dial is superb. Acrylic crystal is excellent. Watch is powered by its correct 21-jewel Gruen grade 335 movement.
