Lord Elgin “Covington” men’s Retro Modern design wristwatch in solid 14K yellow gold, circa 1953.
The “Covington” has large hooded lugs and was priced at $150.00 in 1953. It is in excellent condition showing only very light wear. Caseback is excellent, with a presentation engraving from Humble Oil Co. Case measures 36mm long and 21mm wide. Ribbed dial is excellent, has solid gold applied numerals and markers. Has new domed acrylic crystal. The watch is powered by its correct 21 jewel Elgin grade 670 movement.
