Scarce Hamilton “Ardmore” men’s Art Deco design presentation wristwatch in solid 14K yellow gold, circa 1942.

The “Ardmore” has a large stepped and angled case, and was priced at $100.00. Although catalogued only from 1935 to 1937, Hamilton’s awards division used a few for corporate sales presentations such as this example in the late 1930s and early 1940s. This example is in excellent condition showing only the very slightest indications of wear. The steps and angles of the case are still nicely defined. Curved caseback is excellent, with the appropriate factory-etched presentation inscription. The case measures 38mm long and 22mm wide. Refinished dial is excellent. Has solid 18K gold applied numerals, a variety less common than the gold stick markers usually found on the “Ardmore“ dial. Has new glass crystal. This watch is powered by its correct 19-jewel Hamilton grade 982M movement.
