Scarce Bulova “Centennial Accutron” men’s Modern design wristwatch in 10K yellow rolled gold plate, circa 1975.

New power cell and cheerily humming away as it should. This big, chunky watch just screams ‘70s and was released for Bulova’s 100th anniversary in 1975. It was part of a series of Accutron and Accuquartz watches with dramatic “tuning fork” shaped cases to reflect the technology powering the watch. It is in crisp, excellent condition with no brassing and razor sharp edges. The bezel retains all of its alternating brushed and polished finish. Caseback is excellent, with a few light scratches and a touch of wear at the opening tab. Case measures 41mm long and 36mm wide. Original two-tone brown and gold basket weave textured dial is superb. Acrylic crystal is superb. The watch is powered by its correct 13- jewel Bulova grade 2313 Accutron tuning fork movement. Although not serviced by me, it is has a new battery and is running strong.
