Elgin “Model 3533” men’s Retro Modern design wristwatch in 10K yellow gold fill, circa 1940.
The “Model 3533” has unusual semi-detached lugs and was priced at $42.50 in 1940. This example is in excellent condition showing only vert light brassing to the highpoints of the lugs. Caseback is excellent and unengraved, with only a few specks of brassing to the corners. Case measures 40mm long and 21mm wide. Original dial is excellent. Has new glass crystal. The watch is powered by its correct 17-jewel Elgin grade 537 movement.
