Scarce Elgin “Dive Watch” men’s Modern design wristwatch in chrome and stainless steel, circa 1968.
This unusual Elgin model has a large brushed chrome and steel case with rotating elapsed-time bezel in black, and a killer cool red, white, and black dial. This example is in very good condition showing only some light wear to the chrome on the underside of the lugs and casebody. Black bezel is excellent with some slight fading. Stainless steel caseback is excellent and unengraved. Case measures 44mm long and 37mm wide. Original red, white, and black dial is superb. Has new acrylic crystal. Chromed crown show some plating wear. Watch is powered by its correct 17-jewel Elgin Swiss grade 874 movement.
