Very rare Waltham “Hubbard” men’s Streamline Moderne design wristwatch in solid 14K red gold, circa 1940.
The “Hubbard” is very rare, this is one of only 3 or 4 examples I have seen. It was priced at $100.00 in 1940 and has a dial set with 13 rubies. It is a small for a men’s watch, at just 28mm long and 28mm wide. It is in excellent condition showing only light wear. Caseback is excellent and unengraved. Original two-tone white and silver Butler dial is fair, with some patina and fading. Rubies are bright and superb. Movement is 21-jewel Waltham Premier grade 870.
