Rare Elgin “Model 2203” men’s Art Deco design wristwatch in solid 14K yellow gold, circa 1937.
The “Model 2203” has a stepped case with a ribbed design along the case edges. It was priced at $85.00 in 1938. This is the first example I have offered in more than 10 years. It is in excellent condition showing only light wear and a few light marks. Caseback is excellent and unengraved. The case measures 37mm long and 19mm wide. Refinished gold embossed dial is superb. Movement is 17-jewel Elgin grade 483.
