Scarce Gruen “Orne 54” ladies’ Art Deco design wristwatch in solid 14K white gold with green enamel, circa 1929.
This Gruen has highly stylized geometric designs inlaid with green enamel. It was priced at $45.00 in 1929. It is very scarce and is only the third example I have ever seen. It is in excellent condition showing only light wear. Green enamel is excellent and complete. Caseback is excellent and unengraved. Case measures 26mm long and 16mm wide. Refinished inlaid enamel dial is superb. Has new glass crystal. Original box and paperwork are very good. Has new black grosgrain ribbon strap and white gold filled Gruen clasp. The watch is powered by its correct 15 jewel Gruen Guild grade 835B movement.
