Very rare Elgin “Model E-2” men’s Art Deco design wristwatch in solid 14K green gold, circa 1928.
The “Model E-2” was in the fist group of factory-cased men’s wristwatches that Elgin offered starting in 1928, priced at $60.00. It is very rare in solid gold; this is the only green one I’ve ever seen. This example is in excellent condition showing only light wear. Caseback is excellent, with a 1928 presentation engraving. The case measures 35mm long and 27mm wide. Original dial is very good. Has new glass crystal. Has original green gold filled crown. The watch is powered by its correct 15 jewel Elgin grade 428 movement.
