Rare Lord Elgin “Saturn” men’s Space Age design wristwatch in solid 14k yellow gold, circa 1957.
This solid gold men’s Lord Elgin has a solid gold disk set into the center of the crystal, leaving only the tips of the avante garde hands to display the time. Priced at $150.00 in 1957, it is quite rare. This is one of only a few I have seen with the original gold disk. It is in excellent condition showing only very light wear. Caseback is excellent and unegraved. Case measures 40mm long and 34mm wide. Original black finish dial is excellent. Has new acrylic crystal to which I have transferred the original gold disk. The watch is powered by its correct 21 jewel Elgin grade 680 movement.
