Scarce Elgin “Model E-4” men’s Art Deco design wristwatch in 14K green gold fill, circa 1928.
The “Model E-4” has a small round case with alternating panels of Art Deco engraved designs and lugs with fantastic wing-like engravings that flare toward the bezel. Priced at $47.50 in 1938, it is quite scarce in green. This example is in excellent condition, showing some light brassing to the lugs. Caseback is excellent, with a monogram. The case measures 34mm long and 28mm wide. Refinished dial is superb. Has new glass crystal. The watch is powered by its correct 15 jewel Elgin grade 428 movement.
