Scarce Elgin “Model E-9” men’s Art Nouveau design wristwatch in 14K green gold fill, circa 1928.
The “Model E-9” has ornate Art Nouveau design stylized engravings on the bezel and case sides and is quite scarce in green. It was priced at $40.00 in 1928. This example is in excellent condition with only a small amount of brassing to the highpoints of the bezel. Caseback is excellent and unengraved. Case measures 36mm long and 27mm wide. Original silvered dial is superb. Has new glass crystal. The watch is powered by its correct 7 jewel Elgin grade 430 movement.
