Elgin “Senior 436” men’s Streamline Moderne design wristwatch in 14K white gold fill, circa 1931.
The “Senior 436” has a barrel-shaped case with a bezel punctuated by incuse lines in each corner, inlaid with black highlighting. It was priced to consumers at $25.00 in 1931. This example is in crisp, excellent condition showing no brassing. Caseback is excellent and unengraved. Case measures 37mm long and 30mm wide. Original dial is superb, and has embossed gold numerals. Has new glass crystal. The watch is powered by its correct 7 jewel Elgin grade 485 movement.
