Uncommon Waltham “Trench” men’s Military design wristwatch in sterling silver and 14K gold, circa 1917.

These military-style watches were very popular during and immediately after World War I. This sterling silver Waltham has a solid 14k gold cap on the case back with an ornate engine-turned design to aid in wicking away perspiration and protect the case (thanks to Stan at LRF Antique Watches for this information). This example is in excellent condition showing only light wear. Caseback is excellent, showing only light wear. Original porcelain is excellent, with a few almost invisible hairline cracks. Has new glass crystal. This watch is powered by its correct 15 jewel Waltham movement.
