Rare Elgin “Model E-3” men’s Art Deco design wristwatch in solid 14K green gold, circa 1928.
Usually seen only in gold fill, this is the first “Model E-3” I have offered in solid gold. It was priced to consumers at $65.00 in 1928. This example is in excellent condition showing only light wear. Caseback is excellent and unengraved. The case measures 34mm long and 27mm wide. Dial is very good. Has new glass crystal. The watch is powered by its correct 15 jewel Elgin grade 428 movement. Original box is excellent.
