Scarce Hamilton “Cushion” men’s Modern design wristwatch in sterling silver with porcelain dial, circa 1925.
The sterling silver “Cushion” is fairly scarce, with just 2,588 produced with the 986A movement from 1923 to 1929. It was priced to consumers at $50.00 in 1925. This example has a very rare porcelain dial, only the third I’ve ever seen on this model. It is in excellent condition showing only light wear. Caseback is very good and unengraved, with a faint dent. Case measures 35mm long and 27mm wide. Original porcelain dial with Breguet numerals is superb, with no cracks or chips. Has new glass crystal. has sterling crown. This watch is powered by its correct 17 jewel Hamilton grade 986A movement.
