Very scarce Lord Elgin “Model 4505E” men’s Art Deco design wristwatch in solid 14K rose gold, circa 1942.

Elgins in solid rose gold are very scarce and were offered only in the 1941 and 1942 catalogues. Usually found in yellow gold, this is the first example of this model I have ever seen in rose gold. It has a stepped pyramid case and was priced to consumers at $110.00 in 1942. It is in excellent condition showing only light wear. Case edges are still distinct and fairly sharp. Caseback is excellent and unengraved. Case measures 33mm long and 24mm wide. Original copper finish dial is superb, has blue enamel printed markers and Elgin name. Has new glass crystal. The watch is powered by its correct 21 jewel Elgin grade 559 movement.
