Elgin “Campus 940” men’s Streamline Moderne design wristwatch in chromium nickel, circa 1931.
The “Campus” has a large curved case with decorative panels on the bezel and was priced at $29.75 in 1931. This example is in excellent condition with only slight wear. Caseback is very good and unengraved, with some wear on the top and bottom edges. The case measures 40mm long and 24mm wide. Original dial is excellent, has gold embossed numerals. Has new glass crystal. This watch is powered by its correct 7 jewel Elgin grade 488 movement.
