Uncommon Hamilton “Talbot” men’s Streamline Moderne design wristwatch in 14K yellow gold fill, circa 1937.

The “Talbot” is an uncommon watch and was offered only in 1937, priced at $52.50. This is the first I have offered in many years. When introduced in July of 1937, it replaced the “Taylor” model from 1936. The cases are very similar, except the “Talbot” has fixed lugs, where as the “Taylor” had flexible lugs. This example is in crisp, excellent condition with only a few tiny specks of brassing to the bezel and lugs. Caseback is excellent and unengraved, with no wear. Case measures 38mm long and 21mm wide. Original dial is excellent with the beginnings of some patina from age, has solid 18K gold applied numerals. Has new glass crystal. The watch is powered by its correct 17-jewel Hamilton grade 980 manual wind movement, just serviced and running strong.
