Bulova “Lone Eagle” men’s Art Deco design wristwatch in 14K white rolled gold plate, circa 1930.

The is the second version of Bulova’s “Lone Eagle” model which was named for Charles Lindbergh following his historic solo crossing of the Atlantic in May of 1927. It was priced at $37.50 in 1930. Lindbergh personally endorsed the watch and advertisements for the watch featured Lindbergh and his plane, the Spirit of St. Louis, quite prominently along with his testimonial. This example is in excellent condition with no wear to the bezel. Caseback is excellent with some plating wear and a broken hinge pin, but the case snaps together crisply. Case measures 36mm long and 27mm wide. Refinished luminous dial is superb. Has new glass crystal. The watch is powered by its correct 15-jewel Bulova grade 10AN manual wind movement, just serviced and running strong.
