Scarce Hamilton “Kenmore” men’s Retro Modern design wristwatch in 10K yellow gold fill, circa 1953.
One of Hamilton’s more whimsical designs of the 1950s, the “Kenmore” has fantastic curlicue lugs and a scalloped case. Priced to consumers at $65.00 in 1953, it is a difficult watch to find today. This example is in crisp, near mint condition with no brassing. Caseback is superb and unengraved. The case measures 36mm long and 26mm wide. Original two-tone silver Butler dial is superb, has solid 18K gold applied markers. Has new glass crystal. This watch is powered by its correct 17 jewel Hamilton grade 747 adjusted movement.
