Scarce Hamilton “Whitney” men’s Streamline Moderne design wristwatch in 14K yellow gold fill, circa 1934.
Low production of only 3,009 watches. The “Whitney” has a very striking flared and stepped case... its dramatic design and low production make it among the most desirable of the early 1930s Hamilton models. It was priced to consumers at $50.00 in 1934. This example is in excellent condition with only a minor touch of brassing to the highpoints of the bezel corners and lugs. Caseback is excellent, with an engraving and a speck of wear in each corner. The case measures 36mm long and 30mm wide. Refinished dial is superb. Has new glass crystal. This watch is powered by its correct 17 jewel Hamilton grade 987-F movement.
